Premier Productions salutes Third Day, other Grammy winners

(High Point, North Carolina) - February 16, 2007.

You’ve heard them on the “Wherever You Are” tour promoted by Premier Productions. Now hear their good news.

Third Day walked away from the 49th Annual Grammy Awards, Feb. 11th, with the trophy for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album – “Wherever You Are.” Also in the running were Chris Tomlin with his “Made to Worship” album, MercyMe with “Coming Up to Breathe,” and Ayiesha Woods for her debut album, “Introducing Ayiesha Woods.”

Kirk Franklin, the biggest Gospel Grammy winner of the evening, took home two awards for Best Gospel Song with “Imagine Me” and Best Contemporary R&B Album – “Hero.” Also winning were Yolanda Adams for Best Gospel Performance ("Victory"), Jonny Lang for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album (Turn Around), Israel & New Breed for Best Traditional Gospel Album (Alive in South Africa), and Randy Travis for Best Southern, Country, or Bluegrass Gospel Album (Glory Train).

Congratulations to all the Gospel Grammy winners from Premier Productions, the No. 1 promoter of contemporary Christian concerts, events and cruises in the world!
