THIRD DAY, DAVID CROWDER ROCK TO SOLD OUT CROWDS
(High Point, North Carolina) - December 5, 2006
Wrapping up their 39-date “Wherever You Are Tour” in their Atlanta home-base, Third Day rocked the rafters in a sold-out arena at Gwinett Civic Center on Nov. 19.
With a capacity crowd of 13,000 people, Third Day joined the phenomenal David Crowder Band for a high-energy time of extreme praise and worship.
Undeniably successful in the commercial and critical arenas, Third Day has sacked two Grammies and sold nearly 6 million albums. The five-man band with its Southern rock roots have enjoyed air time on secular radio stations, partnered with a major sponsor, Chevrolet, and been guests on the “Tonight Show.” They have been featured in dozens of magazines and newspaper articles; broken all kinds of sales and marketing records; and found a following by an enormous diehard, fan-base.
These hard rockers have won the hearts of the young generation – and on up – for getting to serious places – in their message, music and ministry. Their latest album, “Wherever You Are,” speaks to the human condition and often tragic circumstances with a word of hope and encouragement.
“It’s the kind of record to put on when you’re having a bad day,” said Bassist Tai Anderson in an article in the Atlanta-Journal Constitution the week before their Atlanta concert. As the Christmas holidays roll around, the band members are taking a much-needed respite at home with their families. Merry Christmas, Third Day!
